What a Weekend!!!

As you can probably tell, from all the smiling faces in the posted photos, our 30th Reunion Weekend was a great success! We had about 35-40 classmates and spouses turn-out for the Pubcrawl on Friday night, and about 80 in attendance on Saturday.

As a committee, we heard so many wonderful comments throughout the weekend. Thank you to everyone who attended. It was great to be together with old friends again! We hope that everyone traveling had a safe journey home.

We've been asking and are hearing that most of you would like to continue to hold a reunion every five years. A suggestion was made to combine with the classes of 1976 and 1978, as our number of attendees is declining. If you have a comment in regard to this, please contact us via this blog or send us an email at: bccclassof1977@gmail.com. We appreciate your suggestions!

Also, if you have any photos from the weekend that you would like to post on this blog, please e-mail them and I'll get them uploaded. I've added a few new ones today. Keep watching!

Tonight, beginning at 8 p.m., we will start the Pub Crawl at the Stein Haus on Water St. (part of the Atrium Restaurant across from St. Laurent Bros.) For those who have ordered, the t-shirts look great and will be distributed there! Then, it's off to Jake's Corner Bar, Old City Hall, Mulligan's, Gatsby's and the Doubletree. We are looking forward to a great turn-out of old friends!!!

Tomorrow night, our RSVP count is at 80, we will be at the Kingfish Restaurant & Tiki Lounge beginning at 7:00 p.m. It sounds like the weather is going to be glorious for an evening by the water! Can't wait to see you there!!!

Pub Crawl T-Shirt

There's a couple of days left to order your 30th Reunion Pub Crawl T-shirt! Designed by our classmate artist, Sara Urband-Murphy, the shirts will be printed in gold on your choice of a purple crew or tank style t-shirt. The cost is $10.00. If you are interested in ordering, please contact me at bccclassof1977@gmail.com. The deadline to order is this Wednesday, July 18th, so that we have them in time for Friday night's Pub Crawl - August 3rd - 8:00 p.m. (starting at the Stein Haus on Water St. - the shirts can be picked up there.) On the back of the t-shirt is a map to all of the taverns in Downtown Bay City that we will be "crawling" to! Looking forward to seeing you there!!!

Reunion Update

The countdown is on! Our 30th Class Reunion weekend is only 3 weeks away! With thanks to the Kingfish Restaurant, and their willingness to work with us despite our inability to meet the 100 RSVP minimum (we are currently at 70), our plans for Saturday evening remain unchanged. I've been receiving calls and e-mails, so there is still hope that the reservation list will continue to grow.

It is going to be a great weekend of reminiscing, good food, and fun music! We are looking forward to seeing everyone on the first weekend in August!!!

News from Robbie (Spiess) Kotkosky

It was so nice to hear from Robbie! Sounds like life is good for her in Charlotte, NC. She works in national sales/marketing for Coca-Cola. Her daughter, Nicole, is 19 and attends college at NC State, in Raleigh. Nicole is an Equestrian and competes nationally. She and her horse Fred were recently featured in an ad for the National Championships (far left photo). Robbie also rides...the middle picture is of her on her horse, Arielle. Robbie regrets that she will not be able to join us in August, but sends her best wishes and looks forward to seeing pictures posted to the blog!

Sara & Mike are going to be on HGTV!

How exciting for Sara and Mike! Tune in on Monday night to see their first episode and the beautiful tile work that Sara has created for her kitchen. I've also posted the link to her art studio website for you to visit.

Reunion Invitations are in the Mail!

Whew! These photos were taken on the evening of Tuesday, May 22nd, as we stuffed, labeled, and stamped over 400 invitations! Hopefully by now, everyone who we have a current address for, has received their invitation to the 30th class reunion. If you have not, we apologize, and hope that you will contact us with your current information and we'll get one in the mail. I'm starting to receive returns, undeliverable as addressed, and will post those names soon. I hope that this blog will help us to locate some of our missing classmates!
